Kilruz

Kilruz, also known as “goblins” were the last to come into the world. They were not accompanied by gods, and arrived into the most remote region of the world – Kilruzurtar. They witness the War of the Wyrms, but that was the end of their interactions with the divine during the Age of Creation.

They are most different in anatomy to other peoples of Udroth. They are more akin to fungus than to men and have two stages of life: They are born from a spore, that reaches a fertile substrate. This mostly happens with the assistance of an elder. They grow as a sprout, until they separate from soil and take a roughly humanoid shape. Only during this stage they can move, speak and think. At some point in life, they find a place with abundant food and there they transform into a giant form, similar to mushrooms. They lose their memories, ability to think and move. But only at this point can they produce spores.

They initially inhabited only Kilruzurtar. Due to its remoteness, they were unknown to the peoples of the outer world, until during the Zurkan Invasions the kilruz came to northwestern Dhinaem, Upper Kwod and western Urandayed.

Their faiths are a mixture of worship of Dhin, Old Gods, some Aradh, Dragons that live in Kilruzurtar, and local Kilruz Prophets.

Kilruz vary in appearance greatly, but the following features are common: they are mostly quite short, have three eyes on their elongated head, three arms and three feet, but one arm and one foot are not functional, and serve as two tails. The colors are very different and vary across regions, lineages and food sources.
