Kilruzurtar
The most isolated region of Udroth, shrouded in darkness. Home of the Kilruz.
Kilruzurtar lies in the northwest of Udroth. In all times it was the most isolated region of the world, never being a part of the Aethliri Empire. Cities there are very few, as most of the local Kilruz lead a nomadic lifestyle, settlements serving only as hubs for trade.
The ecosystem of Kilruzurtar is unlike all others in Udroth. As there is no sunlight or volcanoes suitable for pyroflora, the only source of energy is the decomposition of the corpse of Dhin. For this reason fungi fulfill the role of trees in this strange land.
In the center of Kilruzurtar lies the Rakzin Sea, which is the source of the Great River, that flows through most of Udroth. The world’s ceiling is low there, and therefore the climate is very humid, with frequent rains and mists.
In the south dense mountains separate Kilruzurtar from Upper Kwod, while in the northeast the great misty emptiness of Titzintar separates it from Aeatör Vales in Dhinaem.
There are 3 large subregions of Kilruzurtar:
- Zurzin(Coils of Zin) in the west. There the corpse of Zin forms many rings that pierce the landscape.
- Zinnok(Zin’s Plains) in the northeast. There are the least hills, and uran’s body is mostly underground or half-buried
- Zintar(Zin’s domain) in the center. Zin’s head lies there, and these places are the holy for all Kilruz
