Urandayedic Confederation

Urandayedic Confederations were several mostly yanadric polities divided by large periods of time. They were united by the following principles:

  • Worship of the Old Gods
  • Local (often republican) self-government
  • Unity in face of external threats

Legend claims that the first Confederation was created during the Age of Creation by Uran and the Old Gods, and later confederations were mostly short-lived entities in the Age of History that existed after somewhat successful rebellions against the Aethliri Empire.

The first noteworthy confederation was created in year 425 AoH(Age of History), when the Dragon War depleted imperial garrisons in Urandayed and the natives successfully rebelled. It existed for 40 years and during that time a unified canon set of texts of Uranism was assembled by Yuznar the Liberator – the formal leader of the confederation, and the author of the Igninomicon – a book containing a synthetics version events Uran’s life(Previously 4 distinct versions existed: by Zunarydh, Mzurabil, Myrybhur, and Zaymarub), as well as miscellaneous stories, histories and prophecies. The Confederation ended in 465 AoH, when it had to join with the Empire to combat the threat posed by the Dragons’ conquest of Arwadek and a return of the Aradh.

The next significant confederation formed in Urandayed in early Age of Chaos on the ruins of the Third Aethliri Empire. Initially united to oust the imperial remnants, its later goal was protection from pirates and raiders living on the shores of the Boiling Sea, and defence from Kruzikil‘s Kilruz during late Zurkan Invasions.

The Confederation split into two parts: the Urmyzhar Empire in the west, where the kilruz threat was stronger, and the Eastern Confederation, which viewed the sea raiders as the greater danger. The break was caused by eastern cities failing to provide enough soldiers to help against Kruzikil‘s Kilruz in the west due to being preoccupied by pirate assaults from the east.
