Urmyzhar Empire

Urmyzhar Empire is a splinter state of the Urandayedic Confederation in the Age of Chaos. It seceded to better protect itself against the Zurkan Invasions and the Kilruz that settled in Myryburaz.

It was located in western Urandayed and composed of two main regions: Urmyzhar marshes to the north of the Great River and the Lyrumyn jungles to the south. The Empire attempted to take a more centralized model than the Confederation as the external threat of the Kilruz invaders was very strong. An emperor was elected by a council of rulers, first of them being the Horned King of Lyrumyn, the First Speaker of Urmyzhar, and the King of New Wyrkw. New Wyrkw was a riverside kingdom founded by refugee Kwoden sun-worshippers escaping the Dodecarchy in Arwadek. They were begrudgingly accepted because of the need for allies and lack of resources to fight a war on two fronts.

The disagreements between the member peoples caused the empire to be very unstable, with frequent interregnums and infighting. Despite that, it was effective at combatting Kilruz, and therefore existed for a long time.
