Old Gods

The Old Gods, (a.k.a. Uran’s Court, the Architects, the Rebellious Builders, Wyrms’ Locks) are the set of deities worshipped mostly by the Yanadr, that have actively participated in creation of Udroth together with the Yanadr ancestors.

Uranists view them as benevolent benefactors and ancient leaders of their people, and hope for their return at the end of times.

Star Worshippers think that they created the world only by the Stars’ orders and using their designs. They were exiled from Udroth after joining Uran's Rebellion.

Views on the Old Gods among Izbredic Hero Cults is divided: worshippers of Lerauna and Dunger still honor them, while followers of Vyhkirg, Aalyran and Yazryala believe them to be unworthy of worship due to their failure to protect Izbred from the Demonic Invasion.

Aradh Cults members view the entire existence of Udroth as evil, as in their worldview it is a prison to make divine spirits suffer and be mortal. Therefore they view the Old Gods as locks placed by wyrms Uran and Dhin upon the cage that is material reality. Breaking these locks is the central endeavour of all Aradh-worshippers thought.

After the defeat in the War of the Wyrms the Old Gods fled the material world.

The Old Gods are the following:

Uran, the Flamebringer, the Fire of Liberty, the Allfather, the Red

Uran is a wyrm, and his element is fire. He also is the chief and the eldest of the Old Gods. Creation of Udroth was his idea and he led the Yanadr in the Age of Creation. His wife is Zunarydh, and with her he has a son, Zaymarub, and a daughter, Yrdhuna.

After the battle with Dhin he lies asleep on the eastern edge of the Boiling Sea and when he wakes, the end times will begin.

Some accounts claim that for some time she fought alongside Dhin in the War of the Wyrms, until Mzurabil returned her to Uran’s Host.

Together with Mzurabil he created Arazymar out of pure flame.

Arazymar, the Living Flame, the Unborn, the Burning Bronze

Arazymar is the son of Mzurabil, not born but created by his father with aid of Mzurabil. His domain is civilization, and it was he who taught the Yanadr to build homes, grow crops and make instruments.
