The Stars

The Stars are gods that give their light unto Udroth and feed the life there. Chief among them is Dhin Sunwyrm , the greatest and brightest of the stars. They pitied the Yanadr enslaved during the Demonic Invasion and intervened together with the Aethlir.

Eventually they founded the Aethliri Empire, where they are worshipped within the state religion.

Uranists dislike them for excessive authority, but thank for helping against the Aradh. Aradh worshippers view them as the ultimate evil minds that ordered the Old Gods to build a prison to trap the lesser spirits in. Izbredic Hero Cultists thank them for their aid in rebellion against the Aradh, and many view them as better than the Old Gods, because they helped their ancestors, when the Old Gods could not.

There are countless stars, but those are the most influental and widely worshipped:

Dhin. He is the chief god of Dhinist pantheon. He is the brightest star in the world, Sun. He is the god-emperor of the Aethliri Empire, who manifested himself into the world as a white wyrm to defeat the Demonic Invasion. His domain is justice.

Laesith. This being is the oldest of the stars, which is large in the sky, but is dim and purple. He presides over the Council of Stars and is the voice of reason. He is the god of law and order, who lays foundations for the natural law.

Aeldheth. He is the god of the sky and rain, whose worship was popular even among the Yanadr of Dhinaem before Dhin came with the Aethlir. He taught the people agriculture and serves as the observer, who watches the world and tells Dhin of everything that happens. His light is warm orange.

Ethaemel. She is the goddess of snow and death, who leads the righteous into Dhin’s afterlife and punishes the vicious. Her light is pale blue,

Mörthadh. He is the god of just war, the example to all soldiers, the red dot in the sky. He is unique in that he was an Aethlir, whose heroic feat of slaying a great Aradh allowed him to ascend and become one of the Stars.

Shaedhöl. She is the goddess of trade and travel, a yellow star. Also, she is the trickster of the Stars, who confused Aradh during the war and helped the host by her cunning. She is worshipped by politicians and traders alike.

Öthaenidh. He is the god of knowledge and magic, a blue star that shines even in the darkest reaches
